Our Mission

The Philly Dye Co-op is a cooperative organization of natural dye artists, food and plant producers, and students dedicated to creating a circular dye model in the Philadelphia region. Our mission is to work with partners across different industries to reduce waste and eliminate petroleum based dyes in order to build a healthier, more sustainable future.

Our Vision

We envision a network of dyers, farmers, designers, and consumers that collectively contribute to a local economy that is free of petroleum and chemical dyes. We aim to reduce the amount of waste entering landfills by diverting food and flowers and providing them as dyestuffs. Through education and easy access to natural dyes, we will encourage more people to make healthier textile choices for their bodies and for our planet.
